Job Summary
The Senior HVAC Engineer provides advanced engineering support for chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, ventilation, controls and chilled water networks at Damascus International Airport. The role leads complex fault investigations, plans maintenance, testing and seasonal readiness, reviews technical documents and guides HVAC engineers and technicians.
Job Responsibilities 1
1. Engineering
- Lead diagnosis of complex cooling, airflow, vibration, refrigerant and control system faults.
- Review temperatures, pressures, flows, energy data and alarm trends to spot performance loss.
- Review drawings, sequences of operation, control logic and contractor proposals.
2. Maintenance & Performance
- Plan and supervise HVAC maintenance, shutdowns, testing, balancing and seasonal readiness.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, test sheets and root cause reports.
- Recommend energy efficiency, indoor air quality and asset renewal improvements.
3. Coordination
- Coordinate with BMS, electrical, water treatment staff and contractors during works and incidents.
- Coach HVAC engineers and technicians through on-the-job guidance.
4. Governance, Compliance & Reporting
- Keep HVAC records, test results and drawings accurate in the CMMS.
- Follow permits, isolation and lockout/tagout rules on all HVAC work.
- Report technical findings and recommendations to the HVAC & Water Treatment Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management within the scope and seniority of the role.

- HVAC Systems: Chillers, AHUs and controls.
- Load & Balancing: Air and water balancing.
- BMS: Building management system controls.
- Drawings: AutoCAD.
- Communication: Arabic and English.
Job Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC engineering or maintenance.

## Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field
