Are you the Product Compliance Specialist we’re looking for? Your mission at SitooWe build a cloud-based point-of-sale and checkout platform for retailers in several countries. We are in an expansion phase and actively entering new markets. Each country has its own rules for recording sales, issuing receipts and invoices, and reporting to tax authorities. As Product Compliance Specialist, you make sure our product meets those rules. You track what is changing, turn legal requirements into product requirements, and get the product certified where needed.What you'll doMonitor changes in fiscal, tax, e-invoicing and data-protection rules in our markets, and assess what they mean for the product.Own e-invoicing compliance: know each market's invoicing mandates and deadlines, and make sure the product can issue, send and store invoices as required.Research the legal and certification requirements before we enter a new country, and give a clear view of scope, effort and risk.Turn legal requirements into clear backlog items with acceptance criteria, and work with Product, Engineering and QA until they are built and verified.Lead product certifications and support audits by tax authorities, certification bodies and customers.Help run the controls that keep the product compliant after release, and coordinate the fix when an issue comes up.Keep requirement specifications, process documents and legally required documentation up to date.What you bring3+ years in product compliance, regulatory or requirements work in software or another regulated industry.You have taken compliance requirements from a legal text all the way into a live product.You can read a regulation and write precise, testable requirements from it.Practical knowledge of data-protection law and how it affects product design.Comfortable discussing data, integrations and system behaviour with engineers.A clear writer who works well across teams and pays close attention to detail.Nice to haveHands-on experience with fiscal or e-invoicing requirements for POS or retail software.A background in software development or testing.Experience working with auditors or a corporate compliance function.What success looks like in your first yearA regulatory overview of all our markets, including e-invoicing deadlines, reviewed with Product every quarter.At least one new market launched compliant and certified on time.Compliance requirements that engineers can build and QA can test without back-and-forth.Why SitooWe are forward thinkers.
