You'll work closely with our clinical and operational teams, partner agencies, commissioners and other key stakeholders, using local, regional and national evidence to identify emerging trends and continually improve our approach.

This is an influential role where you'll combine your specialist harm reduction knowledge with partnership working, service development and strategic thinking to help reduce substance-related harm across Bradford.

What You’ll Do;

- Help ensure people accessing our services can access appropriate BBV testing, immunisation, community and pharmacy needle syringe provision and Naloxone.
- Develop and lead the delivery of Peer-to-Peer Naloxone.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to embed harm reduction throughout wider service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with partner agencies, commissioners and other key stakeholders.
- Use local, regional and national data to identify trends, understand emerging needs and inform future service delivery.
- Provide specialist harm reduction advice, information and guidance to colleagues and partners.
- Attend and contribute to relevant strategic meetings, forums and harm reduction networks.
- Keep up to date with emerging evidence, best practice, policy and legislative developments relating to harm reduction.
- Support the development and delivery of harm reduction training for colleagues and people accessing our services.
- Promote effective safeguarding and help identify and reduce potential harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Maintain accurate records and reports and contribute to the ongoing development and quality of the service.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

- An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this qualification in post.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of harm reduction approaches and interventions.
- The ability to deliver evidence-based interventions, including brief interventions, motivational interviewing and psychosocial approaches.
