Our diagnosis and configuration application PALDIAG is “mission critical”: PALFINGER products interact with PALDIAG several times – when delivering to the customer and during every other service activity on electronic components. The team also works very closely with mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and customer service.

In our team, we make a direct contribution to the overall product success – software development which can be experienced first-hand on the product! We build PALDIAG with an AI-first engineering approach: clear, testable specifications, AI coding agents that build against them, and engineers who validate every AI-generated change and own quality end to end. For our location in Sofia we are looking for a teamlead (f/m/d) , who will lead the PALDIAG Business Solutions team of 4–6 people in implementing new features and maintaining the application.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and develop the PALDIAG Business Solutions team of 4–6 people, fostering an open, collaborative and inspiring team culture

- Drive the development and continuous improvement of PALDIAG, conceptualizing and implementing new features with C# / .NET and WPF

- Shape our AI-first engineering approach , creating clear, testable specifications and orchestrating AI coding agents

- Take ownership of software quality and release safety, including SonarQube, unit, integration and E2E testing, while reviewing AI-generated changes and ensuring high-quality releases

- Collaborate closely with stakeholders,users, other team leaders and technical functions to understand needs, achieve strategic goals and continuously improve the product

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable qualification, combined with an interest in mechanical engineering

- Several years of hands-on development experience with C# / .NET and WPF on Windows platforms

- Initial experience in leading, mentoring or developing a software development team, with strong communication and collaboration skills

- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar, including a good understanding of their capabilities and limitations

- Strong quality-first mindset, including unit testing, test-driven development and critical code review, together with business-fluent English for working in international teams
