About the Role

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment, facilities, and engineering systems.

You'll lead a team of engineers and contractors, managing both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities while driving a proactive maintenance culture focused on continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence.

Working closely with Operations and Site Leadership teams, you'll ensure engineering activities support business objectives and minimise downtime across the facility.

What You'll Be Doing

- Leading, coaching, and developing the site maintenance team to deliver high levels of performance, engagement, and technical capability.
- Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability and reduce operational downtime.
- Ensuring the effective delivery of reactive maintenance activities and supporting root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Managing maintenance budgets, engineering contractors, and supplier relationships.
- Overseeing the maintenance of conveyors, refrigeration systems, cranes, mobile racking, plant utilities, and other site infrastructure.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Ensuring full compliance with health and safety, food safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
- Leading engineering projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and site improvement activities.
- Monitoring maintenance KPIs and producing reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Working collaboratively with Operations, Quality, and Site Leadership teams to support customer and business requirements.
- Ensuring maintenance records, permits, risk assessments, and engineering documentation are accurately maintained.

You'll spend some time working within our temperature-controlled environment at approximately -18°C , but we'll provide all the specialist PPE needed to keep you comfortable and safe.

There will also be occasions where you'll be required to work at height or oversee work involving access equipment and specialist contractors.
