About this role
## Company:
Marsh
##
Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Marsh Investments International. This role will be based in Dublin and offers an exciting opportunity to join one of Marsh's largest and fastest-growing business areas — delegated investment solutions.
Marsh is one of the leading and most rapidly growing investment solutions businesses globally, with a continually expanding client base and strong momentum for continued growth.
The Operations team is responsible for the onboarding of new clients, launching new funds, client and fund rebalancing, oversight of underlying investment manager changes, NAV and valuation oversight, fund expenses, regulatory and tax oversight, management of third-party service providers, operational infrastructure changes, and the development and maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, all within a strong risk and control environment.
This is a hybrid role with a requirement to work at least three days per week in the Dublin office.
Role purpose:
The Client Operations Senior Manager will report to the Deputy Head of Operations and play a key role within the Investment Solutions Public Operations team.
The role will have a broad remit across the department, with a particular focus on providing dedicated operational support to a portfolio of top-tier clients, including third-party management companies (Mancos). These clients may require a more tailored and hands-on service model due to their size, scale, complexity, and volume of change activity. The role will act as a central coordination point for these clients, advocating for them internally, tracking deliverables, and ensuring commitments are met in a timely and professional manner.
A key part of the role is to deliver an exceptional client experience — one that is proactive, responsive, and highly attentive to client needs — so that clients feel valued, supported, and well serviced across all operational touchpoints.
In addition, the role will provide general operational support across the department as required, including responding to requests from the COO, Head of Operations, or Deputy Head of Operations, and supporting wider priorities, change activity, and business-critical initiatives as needed.
We will rely on you to:
- Act as a trusted operational partner for assigned top-tier client relationships, building strong, credible relationships with client-side contacts and internal stakeholders.
- Provide dedicated support to complex and strategic client relationships, ensuring service delivery is aligned to client expectations and business objectives.
- Serve as the key internal advocate and coordinator for assigned clients, ensuring actions, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines are clearly tracked and progressed.
- Proactively manage client operational requests, queries, and issues, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication at all stages.
- Deliver an above-and-beyond client experience by anticipating needs, maintaining visibility of priorities, and ensuring clients feel supported and valued.
- Lead monthly service reviews and broader client governance forums, ensuring clear oversight of performance, open actions, risks, and service themes.
- Maintain service logs, service level documentation, KPI reporting, and other governance materials to ensure strong visibility of service quality and recurring issues.
- Stay closely connected to client initiatives, portfolio changes, onboarding activity, and operational change programmes, ensuring implications are understood and managed effectively.
- Work with internal teams to coordinate activity across operations, client teams, support functions, and third parties to ensure seamless delivery and accountability.
- Act as an escalation point for material service issues or complex operational matters, ensuring they are addressed promptly through the appropriate governance channels.
- Support onboarding, transition, and change activity to ensure smooth handover into business as usual.
- Provide flexible support across the operations function as required, including project work, problem-solving, and ad hoc priorities from senior leadership.
- Identify recurring issues, service trends, and opportunities to improve processes, controls, and client experience.
- Coach and support colleagues where appropriate, contributing to the development of a high-performing and collaborative team.
- Represent the team confidently in internal and external discussions, contributing to effective decision-making and strong stakeholder relationships.
What you need to have:
- Experience in an operations, client servicing, service management, relationship management, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of fund operations, including fund accounting, middle office, and transfer agency.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and influence across internal and external groups.
- Experience coordinating complex deliverables, managing escalations, and bringing structure to challenging issues.
- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and sound judgement.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of service, control, and professionalism.
- Confidence working in a dynamic environment with a broad and varied remit.
What makes you stand out:
- Experience in institutional investment services, asset servicing, or a similar client-facing operational environment.
- Track record of improving client service, operational controls, or governance.
- Experience supporting top-tier, complex, or bespoke client relationships.
- Experience coordinating change, onboarding, or transition activity.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, or team support experience.
- Highly client-focused, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to operate with flexibility and initiative, supporting broader team and business needs as required.
Why join our team:
- The opportunity to shape and elevate the client service model for a high-value portfolio.
- A role with visibility across clients, operations, change, and senior leadership.
- The chance to play a meaningful role in strengthening service culture and client experience.
- A collaborative environment with strong partnership across the business.
