About the Role
We are looking for a skilled MATLAB Developer with strong expertise in automation, data analysis, and GUI development within automotive engineering domains. The role focuses on developing efficient tools, applications, and scripts to enhance engineering productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-driven validation and debugging activities.
What You Will Do
· Develop automation tools and engineering utilities using MATLAB, M-Scripting/Python , App Designer, and Python
· Design and build GUI-based applications using MATLAB App Designer for:
o Data visualization
o Signal analysis
o Report generation
· Create reusable MATLAB scripts for:
o Data processing and transformation
o Log analysis and parsing
o Validation and workflow automation
· Develop Python scripts for automation, file handling, and engineering data analysis
· Perform automotive data analysis , including:
o CAN log parsing
o Signal extraction
o Debugging and issue analysis
· Improve engineering productivity by:
o Automating repetitive workflows
o Optimizing internal engineering processes
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams for:
o Requirement understanding
o Feature development
o Issue resolution
· Manage sprint activities and defect tracking using Jira in Agile environments
· Create and maintain documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles in Confluence
· Support validation, debugging, and testing activities for automotive software projects
What You Need to Be Successful
· 3–6 years of experience in MATLAB development and automation
· Strong proficiency in:
o MATLAB programming and M-Scripting
o MATLAB App Designer (GUI development)
o Python scripting for automation
· Hands-on experience in:
o Data analysis and signal processing
o Automotive domain (CAN logs, signal-level debugging)
o Debugging and validation workflows
· Good understanding of:
o Software development lifecycle
o Agile methodologies
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Good communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus Points If You Have
· Experience with large dataset handling and optimization
· Exposure to automotive tools or standards (Vector tools, MDF/ASC formats, etc.)
· Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
· Experience in performance optimization of MATLAB applications
· Exposure to model-based development (Simulink)
What Makes You Eligible
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
o Computer Science
o Electronics / Electrical Engineering
o Or related field
· Proven experience in MATLAB-based development, automation, and engineering workflow optimization
· Strong foundation in debugging, data analysis, and tool development
