Job Description We are seeking dedicated Medical Assistants for two openings located at East 39th St S, Independence, MO. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs. You will also be responsible for preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and maintaining supplies and equipment, including their sterilization. Responsibilities

- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, maintaining supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
- Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
- Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
- Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referral.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
- Preferred but not required: Medical Assistant Program or Certified MA
- BLS Certification

Work Environment The work environment includes floating between assignments within the practice. The position involves interaction with both patients and healthcare professionals in a clinical setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
