About this role
N-iX is looking for a Senior Scala Engineer to join a long-term cybersecurity product development initiative.
As a Senior Scala Engineer, you will become part of a mature cross-functional team developing a large-scale security intelligence platform used by global enterprises to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats. The product helps customers search, analyze, and act on vast amounts of threat intelligence data through modern web and mobile applications.
Our team works in a collaborative environment where developers, product managers, designers, and QA engineers partner closely to build reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. You will play a key role in designing and delivering new features, enhancing platform performance, and contributing to a complex, data-driven product used by some of the world's largest organizations.

2 Scala Engineers
- 2 React Engineers

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver new product features for a large-scale web application
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, and engineers to create outstanding user experiences
- Develop backend services primarily using Scala, with opportunities to work with Java and TypeScript
- Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and low-latency services
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Measure, monitor, and continuously improve system performance and user experience
- Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and engineering best practices
- Take initiative, proactively identify improvements, and contribute beyond assigned tasks
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Scala
- Experience working with MongoDB
- Experience with GraphQL
- Solid understanding of RESTful services and WebSockets
- Willingness to work with both Scala and Java ecosystems
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from architecture design to implementation
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive mindset and ownership attitude
Nice to Have
- Commercial experience with Java
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka
- Additional experience designing and developing REST APIs
- Exposure to frontend development with TypeScript
