About this role

Holistic Youth & Family Advisor (HYFA): South East Virginia
Part-time to start, with a path to full-time

Life Push, LLC is seeking a Holistic Youth & Family Advisor to provide hands-on, community-based support to at-risk youth and their families across Mecklenburg County, Halifax County, Charlotte County, Brunswick County, Lunenburg County, and surrounding areas . This is a field-based role: you will spend your time traveling to meet youth and families in their homes and local communities rather than working from a desk. Our mission is to help at-risk youth (ages 5 to 21) and their families build stronger communication, healthier balance, and lasting change, including safe reunification when it’s the right outcome.

Why Life Push

- Competitive pay

- Paid training and certification in treatment modalities, no prior certification needed

- Variety: different families, different settings, different days

- Room to grow into full-time work and leadership

What you’ll do

- Travel to meet youth and families where they are, in homes and community settings throughout the service area

- Build trusting relationships that encourage positive emotional and behavioral growth

- Help families identify barriers (academic, behavioral, social, or family-related) and connect them with local resources

- Support family reunification efforts when appropriate

- Respect each youth’s independence and values, even when they differ from your own

- Document sessions, incidents, and treatment plans accurately

- Collaborate with case managers, schools, agency staff, and community partners

- Join company meetings, trainings, and special programs

What you bring

- Age 21 or older

- Currently pursuing or holding a 4-year degree in psychology, counseling, human services, sociology, social work, or a related field, or a high school diploma with relevant experience working with youth or families

- Availability for afternoons, evenings, and some weekends

- Comfort with regular local travel: a valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and current insurance

- Comfort with computers and electronic records

- Strong written communication

- Patience, active listening, and self-awareness

- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening

Who thrives here: people who are open-minded, culturally responsive, and energized by community-based work. You’re organized, committed to deadlines, documentation standards, and client safety, and comfortable being on the move. Holistic Youth & Family Advisor's are paired with youth and families based on individual needs, which can include gender, language, and location. We’re growing our team across all of these areas, and we welcome applicants of all genders and backgrounds.

To apply: Submit your resume. We’ll contact you by phone or email about your status.
