About this role
Our Vision
Health systems still run critical operations like staffing, labor planning, and capacity on spreadsheets, phone calls, and guesswork.
Vitalize is building the AI operating system for how health systems manage labor and capacity. The impact is real: we save hospitals millions in unnecessary labor spend, give clinical leaders back 10–20 hours every week, and are often the reason staff and leaders stay.
We’re trusted by leading health systems across the country and have raised more than $32M from top healthcare and technology investors, including our own customers.
Our Values
We hire and grow everyone against the same four values. Each one comes from a real Vitalize story. Interview with us to hear them!
- 🚗 Push the Car. Step in regardless of role. We help wherever we're needed, own problems end to end, and don't stay in our lane. People can count on us.
- 🏥 Premier 1K. We show up for our customers, always. Nearly everyone visits a customer site in their first month, and customer feedback informs everything we do.
- 🗣️ Run Towards the Ugly. Name the ugliest truth first, then propose the fix. Candor over comfort — we call out what's broken, and never get complacent. This shapes our craft.
- 💡 Think Bigger Fridays. See the gap, fill it — no permission required. Every decision is an experiment: we run it, let the results decide, and drive real impact from day one.
About Vitalize's Enterprise Solutions Team
Our customers operate complex technology environments spanning workforce management, HR, payroll, EHRs, identity, security, and other enterprise systems. As Vitalize takes on larger health systems and expands what our platform can do, the technical complexity of selling, deploying, and supporting our product grows with it.
Enterprise Solutions exists to make that complexity scalable. The function bridges Growth and Post-Sales — ensuring we understand what's technically possible before we sell it, customers are technically ready to go live, and the hardest problems we encounter become repeatable solutions the broader team can own. Done well, Enterprise Solutions helps us activate revenue faster, make deployments more predictable, and scale to increasingly complex customers without scaling technical support linearly.
The Role
You'll be one of the first two Enterprise Solutions hires at Vitalize, building the function from scratch alongside a peer focused on clinical and EHR systems. Together you'll define what Enterprise Solutions becomes as our customer base and Post-Sales organization grow.
You'll own the systems our customers run their workforce on: workforce management and timekeeping (UKG Dimensions / Pro / Workforce Central, API Healthcare, and similar) and HCM, HRIS, and payroll (Workday, Oracle, Infor, and similar). These are the systems of record Vitalize reads from and writes back to — schedules, punches, pay codes, accruals, org hierarchies, and employee data. Getting them right decides whether a deployment goes live on time and whether a nurse's incentive pay lands correctly on her paycheck.
Success means fewer deployments delayed by workforce-system readiness, tighter alignment between what Growth sells and what Post-Sales can deliver, and a team that becomes increasingly self-sufficient on UKG, Workday, and payroll work because the hardest problems you solve become playbooks, tools, and repeatable capabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Own workforce-system solutioning across the customer lifecycle: Bridge Growth and Post-Sales so that what we sell can be deployed and supported, carrying critical technical context from pre-signature discovery through implementation and post-launch
- Lead WFM, HCM, and payroll discovery on enterprise deals: Partner with Growth before commitments are made to understand tenant and version, degree of customization, API vs. file-based integration options, pay rules, labor-level and cost-center structures, which system owns which data, SSO and provisioning, and customer-side responsibilities
- Partner with Deployments to drive integration readiness: Set the standards for pay code, job code, and org mapping; integration setup; testing; payroll validation; and cutover. Step into complex deployments where needed while enabling Deployment Strategists to own increasingly sophisticated workstreams
- Step in after go-live when deeper expertise is required: Diagnose sync failures, pay discrepancies, and customer-side upgrades or migrations (e.g., Workforce Central → Dimensions), and get to root cause fast
- Build technical leverage across Vitalize: Create vendor-specific playbooks, discovery guides, documentation, and training so Growth, Deployments, Support, and Customer Success can handle standard UKG, Workday, and payroll workflows on their own
- Turn customer requirements into product signal: Identify recurring workforce-integration requirements and blockers across our pipeline and customer base. Partner with Product and Engineering to decide when the answer is better enablement, a new integration, or a scalable platform capability
What You’ll Bring
- Deep, hands-on WFM or HCM expertise: You’ve worked inside at least one major workforce management, HCM, or payroll platform (UKG, Workday, Oracle, Infor, API Healthcare, or similar), ideally as an implementation consultant, solutions architect, or integration lead
- You understand how time becomes pay: You know timekeeping, scheduling, accruals, pay rules, labor levels, and org hierarchies, how they flow into payroll, and where they break
- Integration fluency: REST APIs, SFTP and flat-file integrations, middleware (Boomi, Workday EIB/Studio, UKG integration tooling, or similar), SSO (SAML/OIDC), and provisioning (SCIM)
- You can lead technical solutioning with enterprise customers: You’re comfortable with CIO organizations, HRIS and payroll leaders, integration teams, and security teams, from pre-sales through implementation and escalation
- You create leverage, not dependency: Your instinct after solving a difficult problem is to turn the solution into something others can repeat
- You know when Engineering is needed and when it isn’t: You can distinguish implementation issues, configuration problems, integration limitations, and true product gaps
- You can bridge GTM and Post-Sales: You know how to advance a complex enterprise deal without creating promises the delivery team can’t keep
- You want to build something from zero: You’re excited to define a new function, not inherit one
- Health system experience is a major plus: Especially healthcare pay practices, such as shift differentials, call and premium pay, incentive pay, and union rules
