Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Industrial Painters for projects located in or around Orlando, FL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $25/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
• Clean, prepare, and inspect surfaces prior to painting• Remove existing coatings using sanding, masking, grit blasting, or chemical cleaning methods• Mix and prepare paints, coatings, primers, and finishing materials to specification• Measure paint characteristics using viscosity cups, thickness gauges, gloss gauges, and other testing equipment• Apply primers, intermediate coatings, and finish coats using spray guns, rollers, brushes, stencils, and other application methods• Perform wet painting using conventional and air-assisted spray equipment• Follow quality standards to ensure proper coverage, appearance, and coating thickness• Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools• Safely handle, store, and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures
Requirements:
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or equipment painting• Experience with wet painting using a spray gun• Ability to prepare and mix paints and coatings accurately• Ability to distinguish between colors and color variations• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment• Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities• Strong communication and teamwork skills• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Must wear PPE, including respirators, eye protection, and protective clothing as needed
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience mixing colors and matching finishes
• Industry-specific training or certifications
• Experience applying industrial coatings in commercial, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments• Knowledge of coating thickness requirements and quality control procedures
