About this role
Application Deadline 12/15/26
Join Vonmod
At Vonmod, the people who run our projects started by drawing them. Every Project Manager and Project Architect here learned the work from the inside: modeling the cabinet, detailing the joint, standing at the bench when it came off the CNC. Vonmod designs, engineers, builds and installs custom modern cabinetry for Colorado’s leading architects, designers and builders, all under one roof.
Our purpose: Make life easier for our clients and their project teams.
Our niche: Architect-led, designer-driven, custom modern cabinetry.
Our 10-Year Target: Become the trusted partner for every leading designer and builder in Denver and select Colorado communities by 2034.
If you want to draw it, build it and eventually lead it—this role is for you.
Position: Studio Engineer – Project Manager Track
Location: Denver, Colorado (studio-based)
Reports To: Head of Studio
Department: Studio
Schedule: Full-time
Role Overview
This is a career, not a seat. You start as a Studio Engineer and master drafting and engineering. As you prove that, you take on project management on your own projects. With a sustained record in both, typically 3+ years at Vonmod, the path leads to Project Architect , our most senior studio role.
Every PA at Vonmod walked this path. We’re hiring for the trajectory, and we’ll be honest about the time it takes.
You’ll Love It Here If You:
- Thrive in a team-first culture where collaboration runs across departments and project teams
- Show full engagement , with discipline until the job is done
- Sweat the details—being detail oriented is in your DNA
- Bring a continual growth mindset , learning through feedback and iteration
- Are fueled by a passion for the challenge , pushing your limits to deliver at the highest level
What You’ll Do:
Where You’ll Start: Drafting & Engineering
- Build precise 3D manufacturing models and annotated shop drawing sets in Cabinet Vision and Rhino

Where You’re Headed: Project Management
- Lead projects through our Scope → VFX → Verification → Production → Install process
- Be the steady point of contact for owners, architects, contractors and vendors
- Manage scope, schedule and budget changes with clarity
- Lead internal kickoffs, pre-production meetings and pre-install walkthroughs
- Monitor budgets, margins and labor on your projects through closeout
How You’ll Start
- Cross-trained in production and install during onboarding, so you know how what you draw gets built
- Regular one-on-ones with the Head of Studio to check in, coach and grow
- Clear milestones for each step on the path, so you always know where you stand
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have 2+ years making and drawing things people paid for : design-build, millwork, furniture, fabrication, CNC/CAM, or architecture with real hands-on work
- Stay calm when things go sideways —problems are most of the job, and you like solving them
- Model fluently in 3D (Rhino, CAD or similar). Cabinet Vision is a plus; we’ll teach it
- Communicate clearly and with empathy , with your team and with project teams

- Redlines resolved before production
- Accurate, complete handoffs to production and install
Work Environment:
- Based in our Denver studio during business hours
- Collaboration across Studio, Production and Install teams daily
