Dozer Operator- Stripping Crew

Rogers Group is seeking candidates to fill a position as a Dozer Operator for the stripping crew, based out of the Gordonsville Quarry. This position will also service the Cross Plains Quarry as needed. The successful candidate for this position will have experience operating heavy machinery and an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

JOB DETAILS:

- Full-Time
- Location: Gordonsville, TN (will also service the Cross Plains, TN quarry as needed)
- Wages starting at $25.00/hr (mileage reimbursement when servicing the other location).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Operate a dozer and other heavy equipment to complete stripping and overburden removal for a quarry operation.
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
- Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Effective communication skills applicable to position.
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Previous experience operating large dozers, or similar heavy machinery preferred.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
