Your Role

As a Power BI Lead at Capgemini , you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners to transform complex business requirements into scalable analytics platforms, actionable insights, and modern reporting solutions.

You will drive architecture decisions, reporting strategy, data modeling standards, governance frameworks, and modernization initiatives, helping organizations migrate legacy reporting and analytics processes into modern, scalable, and automated Power BI environments.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, data modeling, Power Query, DAX optimization, reporting architecture, and team leadership.

Responsibilities & Scope

Power BI Architecture & Strategy

- Define and lead the overall Power BI architecture, reporting strategy, and data visualization standards.

- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Establish best practices for report development, semantic modeling, governance, and performance optimization.

- Drive BI modernization initiatives to improve reporting capabilities and business insights.

Data Modeling & Analytics Solutions

- Design and develop enterprise-grade data models using dimensional modeling best practices.

- Build scalable and reusable semantic models utilizing:

- Star Schema

- Snowflake Schema

- Normalized Models

- Denormalized Structures

- Define business metrics, KPIs, and data definitions that support enterprise reporting requirements.

- Ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across analytics solutions.

Data Transformation & Modernization

- Lead the migration of legacy reporting and analytics workflows into Power BI.

- Transform existing Alteryx processes into optimized:

- Power Query solutions

- Power BI datasets

- Automated reporting workflows

- Modernize Excel-based business processes through centralized reporting and dashboard solutions.

- Improve reporting efficiency through automation and standardization.

Dashboard Development & Performance Optimization

- Lead end-to-end dashboard and report development initiatives.

- Ensure dashboards deliver:

- High performance

- Strong user experience

- Visual consistency

- Review and optimize:

- DAX measures

- Calculated columns

- Power Query transformations

- Data refresh performance

- Dataset architecture

- Implement strategies that improve scalability and reporting responsiveness.

Governance, Security & Deployment

- Implement and maintain:

- Row-Level Security (RLS)

- Workspace Security

- Dataset Governance

- Access Management

- Define deployment and lifecycle management standards.

- Support CI/CD processes, version control strategies, and release management practices.

- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, security, and audit requirements.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define reporting strategies.

- Translate business needs into technical solutions and implementation roadmaps.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Power BI developers and analysts.

- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adoption of best practices across teams.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to deliver analytics solutions.
