About this role

The Client Portfolio Manager, High Net Worth is responsible for partnering with Financial Advisors and, in select cases, their high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients to develop and present tax-aware investment proposals and to support ongoing portfolio reviews. The position serves as the intermediary between the advisor and the client, translating client goals, account structures, and tax circumstances into recommendations that reflect Concurrent Asset Management’s (CAM) investment framework, strategies, and capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Work with advisors to understand client goals, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, tax circumstances, account structures, and existing investments.
- Manage the intake of advisor requests for new and existing clients, asking clarifying questions about account types, ownership structures, and client objectives to gather the information needed to develop a recommendation.
- Analyze portfolios across taxable, qualified, and tax-deferred accounts, including individual, joint, trust, and retirement accounts, and develop recommendations based on research and analysis.
- Prepare tailored investment proposals within the firm’s approved framework, incorporating asset allocation, asset location, income needs, and tax-sensitive transitions.
- Obtain advisor buy-in on recommendations and finalize proposals for execution on behalf of the client.
- Participate in advisor and client meetings, present portfolio analysis and recommendations to advisors and, when appropriate, clients, and develop the ability to lead investment discussions as knowledge and experience grow.
- Support portfolio reviews and explain investment positioning, performance, risks, fees, and proposed changes in clear language.
- Support existing and prospective advisors on complex cases, collaborating with Business Development as needed.
- Coordinate with research, portfolio management, and implementation teams to document client constraints, communicate approved recommendations, and follow through on next steps.
- Partner with Operations as client accounts are onboarded.
- Utilize SmartX, Black Diamond or comparable platforms, YCharts, and other investment analytics tools to prepare analysis and proposals.
- Collaborate with SmartX and other SaaS vendors and product partners as needed.
- Build knowledge of CAM’s strategies and capabilities, including WealthSelect, direct indexing, fixed income, and alternative investments.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or relevant work experience required.
- Approximately 2 or more years of relevant wealth management experience, with demonstrated experience serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients directly or supporting a team that serves them.
- Practical understanding of how taxes and account ownership and structures, including individual, joint, trust, and retirement accounts, affect portfolio recommendations, asset location, liquidity, and implementation.
- Experience preparing portfolio analysis, investment proposals, or client review materials; sound foundation in asset allocation and portfolio construction.
- Ability to present recommendations clearly and effectively to advisors and clients.
- Familiarity with SmartX, Black Diamond or comparable platforms (such as Orion or Envestnet), YCharts, and FactSet.
- Clear communication, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
- Curiosity, receptiveness to feedback, and the ability to learn and apply CAM’s investment approach in a collaborative environment.
- No professional designation is required. CFP (most relevant for early-career professionals), CPWA, CFA, or CIMA designation, or interest in pursuing one of these credentials, preferred.
- Experience supporting a UHNW advisory team, private bank, wirehouse, family office, Raymond James team, or RIA preferred.
- Exposure to concentrated positions, embedded gains, trust portfolios, alternatives, or investment analytics and proposal tools preferred.
