About this role

Job Description and Requirements

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

This role will primarily involve a blend of technical expertise in AMS circuit design, analysis and implementation with strong sales/customer-facing skills, focusing on selling analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit EDA tools to semiconductor companies.

The candidate must have knowledge of both top-down and bottom-up analog mixed-signal design methodologies but also have key understanding of adjacent design methodologies like PDK’s, design verification, System-level design for package, board and 3D-IC design and Emulation. Knowledge or experience with emerging technologies such as quantum and photonics a plus.

What You'll Be Doing

- Sell analog and mixed-signal EDA tools to semiconductor companies by understanding their design challenges, circuit architectures, and methodology gaps, then mapping those to Synopsys solutions
- Lead technical pre-sales engagements including product demonstrations, proof-of-concept setups, and custom workflow proposals tailored to customer design environments
- Identify new sales opportunities by staying close to customer roadmaps, understanding where their next-generation designs (data converters, PLLs, SerDes, power management) will push their current tools to the limit
- Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, and R&D teams to shape solutions that are not just technically sound but actually deployable in customer workflows
- Build and maintain relationships with design teams, CAD managers, and engineering leadership at key accounts, becoming the technical voice they trust when evaluating tooling decisions
- Stay current on adjacent methodologies like PDK development, design verification, system-level design for package/board/3D-IC, and emulation, so you can speak to the full design ecosystem
- Track competitive landscape and emerging technologies (quantum, photonics) to position Synopsys tools in evolving market segments

The Impact You Will Have

- Enable semiconductor companies to close critical analog and mixed-signal designs faster by connecting them with the right tools and workflows at the right time
- Drive revenue growth by converting technical credibility into long-term customer partnerships and expanded tool adoption across design teams
- Influence product roadmaps by surfacing real customer pain points and use cases that engineering teams can act on
- Help customers avoid costly re-spins and schedule slips by identifying toolchain gaps early and proposing solutions before they become blockers
- Expand Synopsys footprint in high-value design domains like high-speed SerDes, advanced data converters, and next-generation power management
- Shape how leading semiconductor companies think about analog design methodology, not just which tools they buy
- Contribute to the success of chips that will power everything from AI accelerators to automotive systems to next-generation communications infrastructure

What You'll Need

- Hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including work on real silicon in areas like data converters, PLLs, SerDes, or power management ICs
- Strong understanding of both top-down and bottom-up AMS design methodologies, from architecture exploration through layout and silicon validation
- Proven ability to engage with customers in a technical sales or applications engineering capacity, translating design challenges into tooling and methodology solutions
- Working knowledge of adjacent domains such as PDK development, design verification flows, system-level design (package, board, 3D-IC), and emulation platforms
- Ability to deliver technical demonstrations and presentations that resonate with both hands-on designers and engineering leadership
- Experience with EDA tool interoperability and understanding how different tools in a design flow need to work together
- Familiarity with emerging technologies like quantum computing or photonics design is a plus

Who You Are

- Technical Understanding:

- A strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal design is essential, including knowledge of circuit architectures , design methodologies, testbench development, simulation tools, layout, and silicon validation. Experience with specific design areas like data converters , PLLs , SerDes , or power management is often valuable. Strong understanding EDA tool interoperability.
Sales and Business Development:

- Responsibilities include identifying and developing new sales opportunities, understanding customer challenges and requirements, and collaborating with engineering teams and product marketing teams to propose and deliver tailored and scalable solutions.
Customer Engagement:

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, providing technical pre-sales support. Creating and delivering demonstrations and presentations on solutions are key aspects of the role.
Market Awareness:

- Staying updated on the latest industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements in analog and mixed-signal design is crucial for identifying market opportunities.
Problem Solving:

- Addressing customer challenges with innovative solutions and providing pre-sales and post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction. Ability to think out of the box.
