# How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
The Electronic Security Technician installs, inspects, maintains and works with Access Control, Video Surveillance and Management, and Duress and Abduction systems while maintaining quality and safety standards. The Electronic Security Technician installs coordinates with project management and serves as the primary on-site representative for customers.


The Security and Access Systems Technician

Oversees access control & IP video systems

- Manages a.nd assigns access control credentials.  Maintains contract badge inventory.  Manages changing building schedules.
- Identifies issues with electronic locking hardware (electric strikes, mag locks, REX devices, crash bars) and facilitates repairs.
- Manages viewing rights and camera view layouts.  Identifies issues with camera systems and facilitates repairs.
- Commissions installation of IP cameras and access control systems and associated hardware.  Coordinates with IT teams.

Performs field work.

- ### Inspects, assesses and troubleshoots issues throughout the Carilion system.
- Provides on-site training and education to staff.
- Plans daily work activities to maintain schedule and labor efficiency.
- Serves as the contact/liaison between management and contract staff for ongoing and new projects.

Participates in police responsibilities.

- Monitors security cameras to locate possible criminal activity at the direction of law enforcement.
- Manages and assigns Duress systems.
- Monitors and maintains emergency phone systems.
- Liaise on and maintain Safe Place and Safe Haven systems.



# What We Require:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum 1+ years of commercial low-voltage installation experience.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required..

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics.

Basic understanding of IP networking principles.

Working knowledge of low-voltage electronic systems.

Virginia Security Technician Registration preferred.

Experience working with major access control and video management software preferred.

Experience with OSHA/jobsite safety requirements and safety documentation preferred.

Compensation Range:
$20.10 - $28.14
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
