About this role

Overview

In the Nordics, Hines manages a portfolio of approximately €1.4 billion across residential, retail, office, logistics and light industrial assets. The team can draw on capital from a range of Hines funds and separate accounts, as well as the firm’s own balance sheet and joint venture investments. That breadth creates opportunities to assess and pursue investments across different sectors, strategies and stages of the real estate lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Hines is looking for an ambitious real estate investment professional to join its Nordics acquisitions team as an Associate. Based in Stockholm or Copenhagen, you’ll work across a multi-sector portfolio and help identify, evaluate and execute investments throughout the region.

This is a chance to work on a broad range of opportunities: from core investments to development and more opportunistic projects. You’ll collaborate directly with senior investment professionals, capital partners and local market participants, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and lead projects as you grow in the role.

You’ll support the team in sourcing, analysing and executing acquisitions across the Nordic markets. Your work will include:

- Researching and underwriting investment opportunities, from core assets to development and opportunistic projects.

- Building and maintaining detailed financial models for prospective and existing assets.

- Helping prepare investment memorandums, investor presentations and business plans.

- Sourcing new opportunities and developing relationships across the market.

- Coordinating due diligence and working with internal teams, capital partners, banks and other advisers.

- Reviewing and supporting asset reporting, budget and business plans.

- Preparing local market research and analysis.

- Responding to information requests and providing clear, reliable analysis to stakeholders.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

- A degree in a relevant discipline, ideally one with a strong analytical focus.

- 3+ years' relevant experience in real estate investment, acquisitions or a closely related field, along with a strong interest in real estate and investment management.

- We’re looking for someone who can combine sound commercial judgement with analytical rigour and a proactive approach to building relationships.

- Strong financial modelling skills and advanced Excel capability, with confidence using PowerPoint and Word.

- An understanding of real estate investment principles and the ability to explain investment concepts clearly.

- Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners at all levels.

- A high level of care for detail, good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Initiative, energy and an interest in developing your skills in an entrepreneurial environment.

- A strong network that can help you identify investment opportunities would be an advantage.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a collaborative, international team with the scope to contribute across sectors and investment strategies. We’re looking for someone who wants to develop their investment judgement, build lasting market relationships and take on greater ownership of projects over time.

Salary: Market-competitive, based on experience and skills.
