You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders across the three lines of defence and engage with regulators where required. The role is based in London. Success means clear standards, stronger supplier recoverability and measurable improvements in third-party operational risk outcomes.

What you'll be doing

- Shape Group-wide governance, priorities and investment focus to deliver measurable resilience outcomes
- Oversee the enhancement of Third Party Resilience capabilities to strengthen operational effectiveness, control maturity and ecosystem resilience
- Direct enterprise resilience transformation programmes and embed outcomes into sustainable business-as-usual operations
- Establish and govern Group-wide resilience standards, methodologies and control requirements aligned to HSBC risk frameworks
- Govern identification, assessment, management and escalation of Third Party Operational Resilience Vulnerabilities across Global Businesses and Functions
- Oversee third-party incident intelligence, monitoring, reporting and root cause analysis to inform control improvements and risk mitigation
- Set testing and assurance approaches including scenario-based testing and validation of supplier recovery capabilities
- Partner with Procurement and Legal to embed resilience requirements into supplier contracts and service level arrangements
- Guide AI-enabled capabilities and operating model developments using technology, data and automation to enhance efficiency and risk management

What we're looking for

- Bring extensive senior leadership experience in Operational Resilience, Third Party Risk Management or related Non-Financial Risk disciplines within a large internationally regulated financial institution
- Demonstrate proven experience developing and executing global strategies across geographically dispersed businesses and functions
- Show a track record delivering complex transformation programmes and establishing scalable operating models
- Apply strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements and third-party resilience disciplines including control management, vulnerability management, incident management, recovery planning and assurance
- Provide experience overseeing technology-enabled transformation including AI, data and automation and embedding business-as-usual operations
- Influence senior executives and navigate complex global matrix environments across the three lines of defence
- Build effective stakeholder relationships including engagement with regulators when required
- Manage resources and develop teams to deliver measurable improvements in risk and resilience outcomes
