About this role
Do you want to work on one of the largest, most dynamic, fast-paced networks in the world? Do you want to develop and deploy innovative solutions to our network capacity challenges and influence the industry/ecosystem's evolution?
You'll have a unique opportunity to shape the development of one of the world's largest, global and most innovative fiber networks. Meta's network has grown significantly over the last 10 years and we expect to more than double the footprint in the next few to support our existing 3+ billion customers and enable new services. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with our broader Network Engineering team to tackle these hard and long term network infrastructure problems to deliver network capacity at scale.
Who we are
Network Investments mission is to scale Meta's network infrastructure to enable the evolution of social technologies. Specifically, we invest in and develop complex terrestrial networks to connect Meta's data centers (DCs), Edge Points of Presence (PoPs) and Meta Network Appliances across the globe. We source or invest in third-party infrastructure and develop Meta's own-build terrestrial fiber capacity.
We are seeking a Network Development Manager to drive the development of digital infrastructure strategies for terrestrial investments in North America. You will work on optimizing Meta's network infrastructure to meet accelerating capacity demand in support of one of the world's largest platforms. As a Network Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with a broad Meta cross-functional team to help evaluate and recommend strategies utilizing financial, operating and economic models. This role requires experience in strategy development, financial analysis, telecom, and investment decision-making.
You will manage end-to-end vendor contracting and partner relationships—from design validation and contract execution through delivery—ensuring routes meet timelines and SLOs. You will drive cross-functional alignment with Planning, Engineering, and Legal partners, contributing to shared operating models, standardized terminology, and milestone accountability across landmark infrastructure projects including new cable landing stations. You will maintain data integrity across network inventory systems, reconciling asset records and enforcing quality guardrails to produce reliable supply signals. You will leverage AI agents and automation to streamline workflows such as approval documentation, vendor outreach, and analysis. You will identify and resolve sourcing gaps and delivery risks, using deterministic triage rules to accelerate orders or escalate blockers efficiently. An ideal person for this role is a strategic, analytical professional with experience in telecoms and developing global digital connectivity solutions who is effective at navigating ambiguity, prioritizing work across teams, and driving progress in cross-functional environments.
