Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced FOTA System Lead to define and lead end-to-end vehicle software update architectures, enabling secure, reliable, and scalable firmware deployment across vehicle electronic systems. The role bridges embedded software, diagnostics, vehicle networks, and cloud-connected update ecosystems to deliver production-ready OTA solutions.

• Define target ECU general design, including bootloader, memory, diagnostics, communication, and update constraints.

• Design onboard architecture and end-to-end flows for download, validation, installation, activation, and status reporting.

• Define offboard architecture and interfaces across backend, campaign management, connectivity, software repositories, and vehicle systems.

• Establish software package structure, metadata, compatibility, dependency, variant, integrity, and versioning concepts.

• Define OTA campaign planning, targeting, staged rollout, scheduling, monitoring, pause/resume, and completion criteria.

• Develop update, rollback, recovery, and fail-safe strategies for interruptions and installation failures.

• Coordinate technical topics with software, cloud, diagnostics, cybersecurity, validation, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.

• Create architecture documentation, interface specifications, sequence diagrams, design decisions, and conduct design reviews.
