About the Role

Field Supervisor - Telecommunications (ONM)

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to join our Telecommunications team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising field crews and delivery partners across operational and maintenance programs while ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality network construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise field technicians, civil crews and subcontractors.
- Conduct site assessments, network surveys, inspections and quality audits.
- Review construction designs and validate scopes of work before execution.
- Coordinate construction activities to meet customer commitments and delivery targets.
- Monitor contractor performance, defect resolution and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Safety, Quality and operational standards.
- Provide shoulder-to-shoulder coaching, mentoring and field support.
- Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders to support network operations.
- Participate in an on-call roster.

About You

You are an experienced telecommunications professional with strong knowledge of fixed network construction and maintenance environments.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Minimum 5 years' experience within external telecommunications networks.
- Proven experience leading field-based teams and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of network construction methodologies including: Fibre deployment and maintenance
- Cable hauling
- Civil construction activities
- Network audits and quality inspections

- Working knowledge of HFC, FTTN, FTTC and FTTP networks.
- Ability to interpret network designs, build packs and construction documentation.
- Experience managing contractor performance, KPIs and service delivery outcomes.
- Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality assurance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
