Construction Engineer

We’re looking for a Construction Engineer to join our team in Kaitaia. In this role, you’ll help plan and deliver civil construction work that makes a real difference in our communities. You’ll work closely with experienced leaders and site teams, bringing a practical mindset, strong coordination skills, and a focus on doing Good Work every day.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects from start to finish.
- Work alongside site crews, supervisors, and project leaders to keep work on track, on budget, and to a high standard.
- Monitor project progress, programme, and quality requirements, and help resolve issues as they come up.
- Contribute to strong safety, environmental, and compliance outcomes across all project activities.
- Build solid working relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil construction, engineering, or project delivery in a similar environment. (must have)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field. (must have)
- Proven planning, communication, and problem-solving skills in project delivery.
- Experience as the lead on client and stakeholder relationships internal and external.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with a range of people, finding solutions and building trust and confidence.
- A genuine commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
