About the Role
Are you a curious, analytical Law student eager to gain hands-on legal experience at a fast-growing, international technology company? At Road, we're looking for a Legal Intern who is excited to put their academic knowledge into practice, develop their legal skills and discover how an in-house Legal team supports a growing business.
As a Legal Intern, you'll work closely with our Legal team and gain practical experience across different areas of commercial and corporate law, including contract management, legal research, negotiations and compliance. You'll discover how legal considerations influence business decisions and learn to balance legal requirements, potential risks and commercial interests.
Throughout your internship, you'll collaborate with different teams, gain exposure to real business challenges and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to work as an in-house legal professional.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Contract Review & Drafting: Support the review and drafting of commercial agreements, developing your ability to identify key contractual provisions, assess legal risks and propose well-reasoned solutions.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Gain practical experience across the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation and drafting to signing, documentation and record-keeping.
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct research into relevant EU and local legislation, analyse legal questions and translate your findings into clear, practical recommendations.
- Commercial Negotiations: Support the preparation of contract negotiations, learning how to assess different legal and commercial interests and develop well-supported negotiating positions.
- Data Protection & Compliance: Contribute to legal research and activities related to data protection, regulatory compliance and other relevant legal requirements.
- Legal Documentation & Communication: Assist with preparing legal documents, drafting contractual clauses and summarising legal findings in a clear, structured and accessible way.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside the Legal team and other departments to understand how legal advice supports business operations and strategic decisions.
- Legal Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to broader legal and company-wide projects, gaining exposure to different legal challenges and opportunities to develop your professional skills.
