And we’re just getting started.About the RoleWe’re looking for a Middle Backend Engineer to join our Backoffice team. Backoffice is the technical foundation behind our growing business: the internal systems, workflows and integrations that Operations, Compliance and Business teams rely on every day. As the company scales, there are more processes to automate and more systems to strengthen than the current team can deliver.This isn’t a role for fast ticket execution. You’ll own problems end-to-end: understand how a back office process actually works, find where it can be automated or made more reliable, design a sound solution, align with the teams who depend on it and drive it through to production.It’s a hands-on engineering role with no people management.What You’ll DoBuild and maintain backend services in Python 3.11 with Django / DRFAutomate back office processes and workflows, working directly with Product, Compliance and Business teamsQuestion proposed solutions and help shape the right one before building itDesign and improve REST APIs for internal and external integrationsWork with MySQL and Redis to improve performance, reliability and scalabilityInvestigate and resolve production issues, find bottlenecks and reduce technical debtContribute to architecture discussions and technical decisions in your areaImprove our development processes and internal toolingKeep code quality, testing and engineering practices at a high standardWork with Git and CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions)What We’re Looking For3+ years of backend development experienceStrong Python skills and good knowledge of Django or a similar frameworkSolid understanding of relational databases, caching, REST APIs and service designExperience troubleshooting production issuesOwnership: you can take a task and see it through independentlyFamiliarity with Git, CI/CD practices and modern development workflowsGood communication and problem-solving skillsEnglish at B2 level or higher, and fluent RussianNice to HaveExperience in fintech, regulated industries or internal B2B toolsAWS and DockerMessage brokers such as RabbitMQ or KafkaOpen-source contributions or side projectsNo prior fintech experience is required.How We WorkWe’re a lean, collaborative engineering team where developers have real influence on architecture, product direction and engineering culture.
