About this role

The Senior Solution Architect, Cyber BPI is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for shaping and governing technology-enabled solutions across CDR business process improvement initiatives. The role connects future-state business processes and requirements to scalable, resilient, supportable, and cost-effective solution architectures, making disciplined use of existing enterprise capabilities while identifying where new capabilities are required.

Based in Bangalore, this role will partner with the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Leader, Business Analysts, Project Managers, process owners, application and platform teams, enterprise technology partners, and global CDR stakeholders. The architect will lead solution definition for complex BPI workstreams, maintain an end-to-end view across process, applications, data, integrations, automation, infrastructure, security, and operational support, and provide clear recommendations and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

BPI Solution Architecture and Design

- Translate future-state processes, business requirements, pain points, and control needs into coherent solution designs.
- Develop end-to-end solution views spanning applications, workflow, automation, data, integrations, infrastructure, security, and operational support.
- Identify where existing enterprise capabilities can be reused and where new capabilities or changes are required.
- Create and maintain solution architecture documentation, diagrams, interface views, assumptions, constraints, and key design decisions.
- Partner with Business Analysts and process owners to ensure solution design remains traceable to the business problem, requirements, and expected outcomes.
- Assess non-functional needs including scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability, performance, and supportability.
- Own architecture for complex or cross-functional BPI initiatives and serve as the central point of understanding for the end-to-end solution.
- Define reusable reference patterns and design principles that accelerate future BPI initiatives and reduce unnecessary solution variation.

Technology Evaluation and Optimization

- Evaluate solution options and articulate trade-offs across capability, complexity, cost, risk, time to implement, and long-term support.
- Identify opportunities to simplify the technology landscape, automate manual processes, consolidate capabilities, and improve interoperability.
- Work with application developers, platform teams, data teams, infrastructure teams, and third parties to validate feasibility and refine designs.
- Support technology selection and ensure proposed solutions align with relevant enterprise standards and strategic direction.
- Consider total lifecycle impact, including implementation, licensing, operational ownership, support, controls, and technical debt.
- Lead architecture option assessments and make clear recommendations to BPI and technology leadership.
- Identify opportunities across the BPI portfolio to create shared capabilities and economies of scale rather than point solutions.

Automation, Data, and Integration Enablement

- Design solutions that appropriately leverage workflow and automation capabilities, including Microsoft Power Platform and other enterprise automation tools where applicable.
- Define integration requirements and patterns between business applications, platforms, data sources, and downstream reporting.
- Partner with data stakeholders to address data quality, ownership, lineage, definitions, and reporting requirements within the solution.
- Support design of controls, exception handling, monitoring, and auditability for automated processes.
- Evaluate opportunities for AI-enabled capabilities where they provide a practical, controlled improvement to the target process.

Delivery and Implementation Support

- Partner with delivery teams from solution definition through build, testing, implementation, stabilization, and handoff.
- Provide architectural clarification during development and resolve design issues without losing alignment to the target state.
- Support technical review of prototypes, proofs of concept, integrations, and vendor solutions.
- Help define implementation sequencing and identify architectural dependencies, technical risks, and prerequisites.
- Ensure final implementation and documentation reflect approved architecture or that deviations are understood and governed.
- Provide architecture oversight across multiple related workstreams and proactively manage cross-solution dependencies and design conflicts.

Stakeholder and Architecture Leadership

- Translate technical concepts into clear business language for process owners and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate solution-design discussions and work effectively across business and technology teams in distributed locations.
- Document architecture decisions, risks, assumptions, and dependencies clearly and transparently.
- Promote collaboration between BPI, operations, technology, security, data, and support teams.
- Act as a trusted solution advisor to senior BPI and CDR stakeholders, presenting options, implications, recommendations, and required decisions.
- Coach less-experienced architects and technical contributors and help establish consistent solution-architecture practices for the BPI program.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, application architecture, technology consulting, systems design, or a related technology discipline, including demonstrated ownership of complex end-to-end solution design.
- Broad understanding of enterprise-class technologies and the interaction of applications, data, integrations, cloud/infrastructure, security, automation, and operational support.
- Demonstrated experience translating business processes and requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Hands-on or consulting experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and modern integration and automation approaches.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, workflow/orchestration, APIs or integration platforms, and enterprise data/reporting capabilities is strongly preferred.
- Strong architecture documentation and modeling skills, with the ability to communicate designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience assessing technology options, vendors, cost implications, technical risk, and support models.
- Experience working in global, matrixed, or GCC delivery environments and collaborating with distributed technical teams.
- Experience with process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or technology-enabled operating-model transformation is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Success Profile

- Enterprise-minded architect who can connect business-process outcomes to practical technology choices and long-term architectural health.
- Comfortable creating structure from ambiguity and making clear, evidence-based architecture recommendations.
- Pragmatic technologist who balances speed, reuse, scalability, risk, cost, and supportability.
- Strong influencer who can align business, delivery, and technology stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Focused on creating reusable capabilities and architecture discipline across the broader BPI portfolio.

Measures of Success

- Solutions are clearly traceable to BPI business requirements, target processes, and measurable outcomes.
- Architecture designs are scalable, resilient, secure, supportable, and aligned with applicable enterprise standards.
- Technology reuse, automation, integration, and simplification opportunities are identified and incorporated where they add business value.
- Architecture decisions, dependencies, risks, and implementation requirements are transparent and well documented.
- Strong partnership across BPI leadership, Business Analysts, Project Managers, process owners, technology teams, and global delivery stakeholders.
