QA Test Engineer

At Kapres Technology we are looking for a QA Test Engineer to work for a multinational client in the insurance sector. Main Functions & Responsibilities:Collaborate with the QA team to understand testing requirements and acceptance criteria.Create and maintain test cases and test data based on provided specifications.Identify defects and verify bug fixes.Support automation efforts by developing and maintaining simple test scripts under supervision.Log and track defects using issue-tracking tools, providing clear and concise defect reports.Participate in team meetings, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning, to stay aligned with project goals.Conduct basic regression testing to ensure recent changes do not introduce new issues.Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects.Support the documentation of testing processes, results, and metrics.Establish testing procedures and organisational standards.Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to improve testing processes and share knowledge.Work with AI/GenAI testing tools and methodologies under the guidance of senior staff.Contribute to team efforts in continuous improvement and learning.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Expertise in software testing concepts and methodologies.Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, SoapUI) is a plus.Expertise in programme in Python, Java, or JavaScript.Expertise in database (SQL and NoSQL).Relevant QA or IT qualifications or ongoing studiesExpertise: At least 1-2 years in software testing or related roles, or internship experience.The position is remote within Spain.
