About this role
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build cloud-native applications on SAP BTP, ideally using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code with a strong focus on long-term maintainability and software quality.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using JUnit to ensure reliable and robust services.
- Take ownership of the quality of your code, including test coverage, readability, and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards within the team.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of modern backend systems.
- Work in a Git-based development workflow with collaborative development practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks to ensure reliable software delivery.
Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
- Strong experience in Java backend development with Spring Boot.
- Solid experience with automated testing using JUnit.
- Strong understanding of software quality, clean code, and maintainable architecture.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g., pull requests and code reviews).
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with cloud-native application development.
- Experience with SAP CAP and SAP BTP is a strong plus but not required.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks.
- Ability to write well-tested, reliable, and maintainable software.
