Job Summary
The Senior Inventory Control Officer carries out inventory counts, transaction reviews and reconciliations at Damascus International Airport. The role compares physical stock with ERP and WMS records, investigates discrepancies, prepares variance and adjustment documents and reports inventory accuracy to the Inventory Control Lead.
Job Responsibilities 1
1. Counts & Records
- Carry out cycle counts, spot checks, annual counts and location audits on schedule.
- Compare physical quantities, labels, locations, batch data and expiry dates with system records.
- Investigate discrepancies by reviewing receipts, issues, returns, transfers and work orders.
- Prepare count sheets, variance reports and adjustment requests with evidence.
2. Support
- Monitor negative stock, unlocated items, duplicate records and expired items.
- Support item master reviews, location accuracy and min and max data checks.
- Coordinate with storekeepers, procurement, maintenance, Finance and auditors.
- Check barcode labels and bin locations during counts and correct errors.
3. Governance, Compliance & Reporting
- Keep count documents, audit trails and evidence files secure and confidential.
- Verify corrective actions and repeat counts after major discrepancies.
- Prepare routine reports on count completion, accuracy and open issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management within the scope and seniority of the role.

Job Knowledge & Skills
- Stock Counts: Accurate counting.

- Excel: Basic Excel.
- Communication: Arabic and English.
Job Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory, stores or accounting.

## Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Pubic Administration or business administration, and other related field or any related field
