THE OPPORTUNITY
Five Star Equipment is expanding our rental business and looking for a relationship-driven outside
sales professional who knows how to turn jobsite needs into reliable equipment solutions.
You will represent premium John Deere construction equipment and allied lines while
helping contractors win through speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
YOU'LL WIN BY
- Building a high-activity field rhythm through jobsite visits, ride-alongs, and demos
- Turning customer needs into fast, accurate rental solutions
- Coordinating with rental, dispatch, service, and billing for a smooth customer experience
- Selling value by emphasizing uptime, equipment fit, and delivery certainty
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Hunt for new projects and accounts while growing existing relationships
- Build and manage a disciplined CRM pipeline
- Prepare quotes and proposals; negotiate terms professionally
- Own communication from quote through delivery, pickup, and follow-up
- Track competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
- Stay current through John Deere/OEM product and safety training

Qualifications
WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG FIT
PROVEN
1+ years of successful outside sales in construction, rental, or a related industry
EQUIPMENT-SMART
Working knowledge of construction equipment and jobsite applications
RELATIONSHIP-DRIVEN
A confident closer and connector with strong communication skills
TECH-READY
Comfort with CRM, Microsoft Office, and ERP/CDK systems
ROAD-READY
Valid drivers license, clean MVR, and comfort working outdoors
SELF-STARTING
Competitive, accountable, organized, and team-oriented
