Job Description

Location:
London, GB

Condé Nast is a global media company, home to iconic brands including Vogue , GQ , Glamour , CN Traveller , Vanity Fair , Wired , The World of Interiors , House & Garden and Tatler , among many others.

We are headquartered in New York and London and operate in 32 markets worldwide, with a footprint of more than 1 billion consumers across print, digital, video and social platforms.

Condé Nast thrives on collaboration, and our teams come together in the office four days a week (Monday - Thursday).

We value diversity of background, views and cultures. We celebrate people for their personal qualities, skills and contributions, recognising the power our brands have to influence and shape culture.

Condé Nast is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own how consent and privacy preferences are collected, managed, stored, and honoured across our global digital ecosystem. Consent sits at a critical intersection of customer trust, regulatory compliance, data collection, advertising, marketing, analytics, and the digital experience. This role will ensure that Condé Nast has a consistent, scalable, and well-governed approach to consent while understanding and managing the broader business implications of the decisions we make.

You will own the consent product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end operating model across brands, markets, web, and app. Working closely with Legal, Data Governance, Engineering, Product, Advertising, Marketing, Analytics, and other stakeholders, you will translate evolving privacy requirements into clear product decisions and durable capabilities, while ensuring material changes are tested, monitored, and understood across the business.

Based in London, this is a highly cross-functional role requiring close partnership with the teams shaping privacy and consent requirements, alongside a strong operating cadence with Engineering teams responsible for implementation.

What You'll Do

Own consent & compliance end to end

- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and operating model for consent and preference management across Condé Nast's digital products and platforms.
- Be accountable for how consent requirements move from regulatory interpretation through product definition, implementation, validation, release, monitoring, and continuous improvement, with clear decision rights and ownership across teams.
- Establish consistent approaches to consent collection, storage, propagation, and enforcement across brands, markets, web, and app, including marketing preference management.
- Own the business relationship with our Consent Management Platform provider, ensuring the platform and partnership support our product, regulatory, and business needs.

Translate privacy requirements into scalable products

- Partner closely with Legal and Data Governance to translate evolving privacy regulations - including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other global requirements - into clear product requirements and scalable capabilities.
- Own product decisions and trade-offs while Legal and Data Governance remain accountable for regulatory interpretation and privacy policy.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the data collection ecosystem, including cookies, tags, SDKs, identifiers, vendor integrations, and downstream systems that depend on consent and preference signals.

Build trust, controls, and operational rigor

- Establish strong testing, monitoring, auditing, and release-management practices so material consent changes are validated before and after launch.
- Own Product acceptance and release readiness, including appropriate staging, UAT, stakeholder approvals, production validation, and clear escalation paths when issues arise.
- Monitor the health and effectiveness of the consent ecosystem and use incidents, audit findings, and recurring support patterns to identify systemic improvements rather than one-off fixes.

Balance compliance, customer experience, and business outcomes

- Understand how consent decisions and changes affect customer experience and critical business outcomes, including advertising, analytics, marketing, audience engagement, and data quality.
- Establish monitoring of relevant business KPIs alongside consent and platform-health metrics, particularly when significant consent or configuration changes are introduced.
- Partner with stakeholders to assess and communicate trade-offs between regulatory requirements, customer experience, technical feasibility, data quality, and business impact.
- Ensure stakeholders understand the expected impact of material consent changes and that unexpected business impacts are quickly identified, investigated, and addressed.

What You Bring

- 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful experience in consent, privacy technology, data governance, identity, customer data, advertising technology, or another highly regulated technical domain.
- Strong understanding of consent-management concepts and preference-management technologies, including consent experiences, notices, purposes, vendors, jurisdictions, downstream signaling, and the role of a Consent Management Platform (CMP).
- Experience with CMP platforms; direct familiarity with Ethyca/Fides is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of global privacy regulations and digital-consent requirements, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and evolving US state privacy laws; able to translate approved legal and privacy guidance into product decisions.
- Understanding of digital advertising technology, including how ad delivery, cookies, tracking technologies, and consent signals interact across the advertising ecosystem.
- Strong familiarity with digital data collection and the marketing consent ecosystem, including marketing preferences, opt-in/opt-out management, cookies, tags, SDKs, identifiers, APIs, and integrations with marketing and customer-data platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to query data, investigate consent and preference signals, validate implementations, and assess downstream business impact.
- Experience working with technically complex, multi-system products and partnering closely with Engineering teams on requirements, configuration, testing, monitoring, and release quality.
- Strong business judgment and an understanding of how consent and data-collection decisions can affect advertising, analytics, marketing, customer experience, and other business outcomes; able to identify, communicate, and manage trade-offs across stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build alignment across Legal, Governance, Engineering, Marketing, Advertising, Product, Analytics, and other business teams.
- Experience managing technology vendors or platforms and holding partners accountable for roadmap alignment, delivery commitments, support quality, and business outcomes.
- A pragmatic product leader who brings structure and clarity to complex, highly regulated environments and is comfortable making decisions when technical, regulatory, customer, and business considerations compete.
