Customer Service Representative (Hybrid)

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) delivers accurate, responsive, and customer‐focused service by managing order activity, communicating clearly and professionally with customers and internal partners, and ensuring information is documented with precision. This role monitors order status, tracks changes, identifies potential service risks, and escalates issues as needed to maintain continuity and service reliability. In this role, the CSR documents customer requirements, communicates updates proactively, follows established processes, and collaborates with cross‐functional teams to support consistent execution. As an individual contributor, the CSR builds strong customer relationships through timely, professional interactions and may lead or support team projects focused on continuous improvement, customer experience, operational excellence, or individual development. The CSR contributes to overall team success by demonstrating attention to detail, service accuracy, and a commitment to a positive team culture and exceptional customer experience. Periodic after hours and weekend support is required.

- Manage accurate and timely order entry, contract application and pricing confirmation for an assigned customer base, or as needed for team member coverage.

- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, fostering positive relationships through consistent and professional communication.

- Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Transportation, and Plant Scheduling to support customer order fulfillment.

- Solicit customer orders based on customer trends, inventory levels, and agreed service expectations.

- Track and communicate short-term changes in customer demand, escalating risks or constraints as appropriate.

- Lead resolution of customer incidents by collaborating with internal stakeholders and documenting outcomes through established processes.

- Gather and maintain customer information and insights, sharing relevant details to support business decision-making.

- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrate consistent accountability, integrity, urgency and commitment by contributing to a positive team culture while delivering quality service aligned with Ardent Mills' values.

- Leads or supports team projects to drive continuous improvement, customer experience, operational excellence, or individual development as assigned.

- Periodic after hours and weekend support is required.

- Based on order urgency, the CSR may be required to coordinate directly with carriers on behalf of the transportation team to ensure timely shipment, including submitting escalation requests when necessary. The CSR is also responsible for coordinating the operations with third-party warehouses to ensure accurate, efficient, and on-time customer order fulfillment (Canada only).

Education

- HS Diploma or GED

Experience

- 2 - 3 years of relevant experience

- Customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- SAP, Microsoft GP or other ERP software working knowledge preferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word

- Willingness to lead by example, help drive team engagement and influence others positively

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- The ability to balance competing priorities with the skills to successfully multi-task in a fast paced environment

Language

- Bilingual; Spanish preferred but not necessary

Travel

- Must be available to work after hours coverage on a periodic basis during evenings and weekends in addition to the usual schedule

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $25.90 - $33.00, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 5% Annual.

Shift Differential:The Company provides a shift differential to eligible employees who are assigned to and work shifts outside of standard business hours. Role Designation
Ardent Mills is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. This role follows a hybrid work arrangement and will be based in the assigned work location. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person from their assigned office location two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday), except when traveling for business.
