About this role

Responsibilities:

Technology financial operations. Lead Technology’s financial operations in partnership with FP&A,

complementing and supporting FP&A’s role. Provide the leadership that turns existing cost -tagging,

tracking, and reporting capability into accurate, well-understood budgets, forecasts, and spending.

Reconcile staffing, vendor, and spending assumptions; challenge weak estimates; explain variances; and

present spending choices. Drive purchases and renewals through Procurement, eliminating delays and

rework while respecting corporate controls and approval authority.

Cross-cutting initiatives and planning. Program-manage agreed cross-cutting initiatives: orchestrate

owners, dependencies, milestones, and risks while accountable leaders own the outcomes. Facilitate

Technology’s strategic and annual planning; the CTO and their direct reports own the strategy. Run the

leadership team’s operating cadence. Make audit and risk commitments, exceptions, and required

decisions visible beyond the existing audit and risk group. Use the CTO’s delegated authority to secure

inputs and resolve friction; escalate decisions outside the mandate.

People operations. Serve as Technology’s primary point of coordination to HR for org, reporting, and

performance planning activities. Align headcount, contractors, hiring plans, and financial assumptions

with HR, Finance, and the deputy CTOs, who retain detailed capacity models and staffing allocation.

Coordinate goal setting, performance-review, calibration, and other required staff-management cycles;

managers retain feedback, ratings, and employee decisions. Coordinate staff development across HR-led

and Technology-led training, manage training approvals, and connect efforts that would otherwise run

in silos. Coordinate Technology’s engagement surveys and recognition programs.

Technology communications. Lead Technology’s communications to executives, staff, and business

partners: monthly and quarterly business reviews and other executive materials; town halls and

messages to staff; and notices of organizational, policy, and process changes.

General Skills/ Requirements:

• 12–15 years of experience in technology business operations or technology financial management,

including leadership of cross-functional programs.

• 5+ years of management experience.

• People manager of a small team of IC2–6 staff; remains hands-on with financial analysis,

communications, and difficult coordination.

• Deep technology financial management experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis,

and procurement. Coordinates internal activities so Technology is accountable to, and supports,

Finance, Procurement, third-party risk, and other corporate needs, while respecting FP&A’s

ownership of financial planning and analysis. Explains cost drivers and trade-offs clearly.

• Works through others across Technology and corporate functions. Secures action from senior-most

leaders inside and outside Technology without direct authority, and exercises delegated executive

authority with discretion and firmness.

• Sets the function’s direction in alignment with the Technology strategy, in partnership with the

CTO and deputy CTOs.

• Leans into AI for leverage. Demonstrated habit of using AI to simplify and accelerate recurring

work, verifying outputs and protecting sensitive information.

• BS degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Excellent communications, from executive writing to clear messages for a broad staff audience.

Technology Required :

• Financial modeling and reporting, including Technology cost tagging, spend reporting, and contract

and procurement tracking.
