Guidewire Technical Lead - Senior Manager

As a Guidewire consulting generalist at PwC, you will specialise in providing consulting services for Guidewire software solutions. You will apply an in-depth knowledge of Guidewire applications to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support specific to Guidewire software.
About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Digital Technical Lead to lead the architecture and technical delivery of digital insurance solutions built on the Guidewire platform.

This is a senior technical leadership role combining digital architecture, engineering leadership, Guidewire expertise and integration design. You will define the technical direction for customer, agent, broker and partner-facing digital journeys, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable and aligned with Guidewire Cloud standards.

Working closely with architects, product owners, UX, Guidewire and integration teams, you will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while providing hands-on leadership to engineering teams through design, development and delivery.

Locations across the UK will be considered for this role.

What your days will look like:

- Lead the architecture and engineering of Guidewire Digital solutions, using Jutro, React and TypeScript/JavaScript to create scalable, reusable applications, guide engineering teams and deliver high-quality digital journeys.
- Shape secure, API-first integrations across Guidewire Insurance Suite, Cloud APIs and external services, defining resilient integration, identity and security patterns aligned with cloud standards.
- Own solution architecture and engineering standards, balancing scalability, performance, security, accessibility, maintainability, cost and delivery risk while governing technical decisions and debt.
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership for secure, scalable and maintainable Guidewire Digital solutions, from architecture and integration through delivery and production.

This role is for you if:

- Technical capability across Guidewire Digital/Jutro and modern application architecture, with the ability to lead digital engineering and architectural design.
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML and CSS, with skills in building scalable, maintainable and accessible digital applications.
- Knowledge of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and/or BillingCenter, REST and Guidewire Cloud APIs, alongside API-first and cloud integration patterns.
- Ability to design secure digital solutions using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and SSO, with a sound understanding of API and web application security.
- Skilled in CI/CD, automated testing, source control and DevOps practices, ideally complemented by knowledge of AWS, observability and cloud-native architecture.
- Ability to define architecture standards, guide multidisciplinary and distributed engineering teams, solve complex technical challenges and communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams.
