About this role
Lead a great clinical team, and still be part of patient care.
We're looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who's ready to lead. As Clinic Supervisor, you'll run the Medical Assistant and Tech team at your clinic and keep the day moving smoothly, so our physicians and PAs can see patients on time and every patient gets excellent care. This is a working supervisor role. You'll hire, train, schedule and coach your team, and you'll also room patients, assist providers and cast and splint when the clinic needs you.
If you're the person your coworkers already come to with questions, and you like solving problems in a busy clinic, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop your team
- Supervise the daily work of the Medical Assistants and Techs at your location
- Interview candidates and recommend hires with the Operations Manager
- Onboard and train new team members, and sign off on their clinical skills before they work on their own
- Coach, give feedback and complete performance reviews
- Keep team certifications, CPR/BLS and required trainings up to date
Keep the clinic running smoothly
- Build the MA/Tech schedule around provider schedules and patient volume
- Approve time off, review timecards and find coverage for call-outs
- Assign MAs and Techs to providers each day and adjust in real time
- Watch wait times and room turnover, and fix bottlenecks as they come up
Protect quality and safety
- Make sure the team follows protocols for intake, vitals, documentation, injections, casting and splinting
- Audit charts and rooming practices
- Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control and sterilization standards
- Help resolve incidents, safety concerns and patient complaints
Stay hands-on
- Room patients, take vitals, assist providers, and cast and splint when needed
- Be the go-to resource for clinical and workflow questions
- Keep exam rooms, casting areas and supplies stocked, and make sure equipment is maintained
Connect the team
- Serve as the main link between providers and the MA/Tech team
- Lead regular team huddles and share updates from leadership
- Work with Clinic Supervisors at our other locations to keep processes consistent
