Overview

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Lifecycle Marketing to lead the Workforce lifecycle marketing pod within Services Lifecycle Marketing (ELM). ELM (Ecosystem & Lifecycle Marketing) applies a customer-first approach across the lifecycle, brings new capabilities to market, and uses data to drive business outcomes.

This individual contributor will serve as the day-to-day pod lead for Workforce, translating business priorities into coordinated lifecycle programs that help employers activate and engage their teams and help employees discover, adopt, and regularly use relevant Workforce experiences. The role will orchestrate journeys across in-product, email, and other owned direct channels, with an emphasis on onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention. Success requires strong execution, measurement, and cross-functional coordination rather than enterprise-wide strategy ownership or direct people management.

This role works closely with Workforce Product, Product Marketing, Analytics/Data Science, Design, and channel partners, and reports to the Director, Services Lifecycle Marketing.

Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day Workforce lifecycle marketing pod: align partners on objectives, define workstreams and milestones, manage dependencies, and drive timely, high-quality execution.
- Own and optimize prioritized Workforce journeys across onboarding, setup and invitation, first-use activation, ongoing engagement, feature adoption, and re-engagement in owned channels.
- Translate employer and employee needs into clear audience segments, relevant messaging, and coordinated in-product and direct-channel experiences.
- Partner with Product and Design on in-product education, prompts, and activation flows that reduce friction and increase meaningful Workforce use.
- Develop and manage a focused experimentation roadmap across targeting, creative, journey timing, channel mix, and suppression; use results to refine programs.
- Use lifecycle, funnel, cohort, and campaign performance data to identify opportunities, set program-level KPIs, report learnings, and recommend practical optimizations.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing, Analytics, channel operations, and other partners to launch accurate, customer-centered campaigns with appropriate quality checks and customer communications standards.
- Bring recommendations, decisions, tradeoffs, and delivery risks to the Director and cross-functional partners; escalate blockers and maintain clarity on ownership and next steps.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, growth marketing, product marketing, or related roles, ideally in SaaS, fintech, HR/payroll technology, or platform businesses.
- Experience owning and improving multi-touch customer journeys with measurable activation, engagement, adoption, or retention outcomes.
- Ability to lead a cross-functional pod or integrated workstream through influence, with strong project management and prioritization skills; direct people management is not required.
- Hands-on experience with email and in-product messaging, plus familiarity with at least one other owned channel or lifecycle orchestration capability.
- Comfort using segmentation, behavioral triggers, funnel analysis, A/B testing, and cohort trends to guide campaign decisions and communicate results.
- Strong written communication, customer empathy, operational rigor, and a collaborative approach to working with Product, Design, Analytics, and channel teams.
- Ability to balance customer experience, business impact, technical constraints, and multiple concurrent priorities.
