The Retail Store Manager is responsible for owning the day-to-day operations and performance of their assigned location. This role leads the store team, ensures operational excellence, and delivers a consistent, engaging fan experience. The Retail Store Manager is a hands-on leader who drives sales, develops the team, and ensures the store runs efficiently and effectively every day. While accountable for achieving financial targets, this role focuses on execution, team leadership, and operational consistency, partnering with leadership on broader strategies. This position would report directly to the Retail General Manager.

What Youll Do

Store Operations & Execution

- Lead all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution
- Manage scheduling, labor planning, and floor coverage to meet business needs
- Maintain high standards across merchandising, inventory, and visual presentation
- Ensure operational processes are followed, including inventory management, shipment processing, and stockroom organization
- Oversee facility needs and ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment

Sales & Performance

- Drive store performance to consistently meet or exceed sales and payroll targets
- Monitor daily and weekly business trends and take action to improve results
- Execute company initiatives, promotions, and product launches effectively
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities and implement localized actions to drive traffic and sales

Team Leadership & Development

- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing store team
- Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management
- Lead by example on the sales floor, setting the standard for customer engagement and service
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture
- Develop leadership to support daily execution

Fan Experience

- Deliver a consistent, high-quality fan experience aligned with Funkos brand and values
- Ensure the team creates engaging, welcoming interactions with every customer
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Build relationships with repeat customers to drive loyalty

Inventory & Merchandising

- Oversee inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and stock control processes
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments, transfers, and damages
- Maintain stockroom organization and product flow to the sales floor
- Execute merchandising direction and collaborate with partners on product placement and assortment

Collaboration & Communication

- Partner with corporate teams on product launches, training, and operational priorities
- Communicate store performance, challenges, and opportunities to leadership
- Support local marketing and community efforts as needed

What Youll Bring

- 3+ years of retail leadership experience
- Proven ability to drive sales and manage store operations effectively
- Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and execution
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment
- Passion for delivering great customer experiences
- Interest in pop culture and fandom trends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Open and flexible availability

Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $70,304 - $82,000 annually.​ Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
