Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Materials Planner, Industrial Power Solutions .

The Materials Planner is responsible for coordinating material availability, inventory, and production planning activities to support scheduled builds and customer requirements. This role manages supplier commitments, purchase order and delivery status, inventory levels, and demand changes while partnering cross-functionally to ensure materials are available to support production.

Key Responsibilities

- Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, and material availability to support production requirements.

- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and coordinate logistics activities to help ensure materials arrive on time.

- Manage inventory levels at KTC and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, or material risks.

- Lead demand management activities and align material requirements with planned production builds.

- Develop and maintain production plans and schedules based on customer demand, inventory, capacity, and material availability.

- Monitor changing demand and production constraints and adjust plans accordingly.

- Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to resolve material and production issues.

- Maintain accurate planning, inventory, and material information within SAP/ERP systems.

- Monitor production schedule attainment and proactively address issues that could impact customer shipments.

- Support new product launches and future production builds by coordinating material and planning requirements.

What We Are Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

- 5+ years of relevant experience in materials planning, production planning, supply chain, manufacturing scheduling, or a related field.

- Proficiency in SAP or a similar ERP system and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing production and material requirements.

- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Ability to analyze demand, inventory, supplier commitments, and production requirements.

- Results-oriented with a strong focus on meeting production and customer needs.
