The Opportunity:
Join our team supporting USTRANSCOM's Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), a mission-critical enterprise platform modernizing transportation, logistics, and financial operations through SAP S/4HANA ERP integration.
We are seeking a NeoLoad Performance Test Engineer to design, execute, and analyze load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests across JTMS applications, interfaces, and integrated business processes. You will use Tricentis NeoLoad to identify performance bottlenecks, establish baselines, validate nonfunctional requirements, and help ensure JTMS can support mission-critical operational workloads. This role partners with SAP functional teams, developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and test leadership within a SAFe Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Requirements Analysis: Review nonfunctional requirements, operational volumes, response-time targets, service-level objectives, and business workflows to define measurable performance test scenarios and acceptance criteria
- NeoLoad Script Development: Design, build, parameterize, correlate, and maintain reusable NeoLoad scripts, workloads, test data, and execution profiles for SAP Fiori, web applications, APIs, and supported enterprise interfaces
- Performance Test Execution: Plan and execute baseline, load, stress, spike, endurance, and scalability tests; simulate realistic concurrent users, transaction mixes, and peak transportation workloads
- Monitoring and Analysis: Collect and correlate NeoLoad results with application, database, server, and infrastructure telemetry; identify bottlenecks, throughput constraints, error rates, and response-time degradation
- SAP and Integration Validation: Assess end-to-end performance across SAP S/4HANA logistics and financial workflows, including TM, EWM, YL, FI/CO, ITV, ITV COP, and integrated services where applicable
- Defect Management and Reporting: Document performance findings with reproducible workloads, evidence, trends, and recommendations; track remediation, retest, and communicate risks to program leadership
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Agile Participation: Coordinate with architects, developers, infrastructure, functional teams, and testers; participate in PI planning, iteration planning, demos, and defect triage
Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance (required)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in software performance engineering or testing of large-scale enterprise applications, including hands-on NeoLoad experience
- NeoLoad Expertise: Proven ability to create and troubleshoot NeoLoad scripts, configure load generators, model realistic workloads, analyze results, and produce actionable performance reports
- Performance Engineering: Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, concurrency, throughput, latency, percentiles, error rates, resource utilization, and bottleneck isolation
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; experience collaborating with technical and functional teams in Agile/SAFe environments
Desired:
- SAP / ERP Experience: Performance testing of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP logistics/finance modules, and enterprise integrations
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with NeoLoad Web/Controller, monitoring integrations, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, observability tools, and test management platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira
- Certifications: Tricentis NeoLoad, ISTQB, SAFe, or relevant performance engineering certifications
