Position Summary
The Welder/Grinder performs skilled welding and grinding work on stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to quality, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Weld, grind, and fabricate stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal components.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Operate an overhead crane to move materials safely.
- Inspect welded components and surfaces for defects or imperfections.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other fabrication documents.
- Apply basic math and geometry to ensure accurate measurements and fabrication.
- Maintain quality standards and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with additional production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with various welding equipment, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and fabrication documents.
- Professional welding certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good time-management skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well with a team.
