Work Environment This role is primarily based at a large construction job site in Toronto, in the York Mills area, with a focus on a major transit infrastructure project. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with 8.5-hour days including lunch, typically starting about 30 minutes before construction begins; in the city, this usually means a 6:30 a.m. start. The first few weeks will be spent full time at the Ajax office for training and onboarding before transitioning to spending the majority of time on the job site. The work environment includes active construction zones, power generation and utilities sites, and other industrial and ICI projects, where the advisor will regularly interface with internal teams, client representatives, subcontractors, and unionized personnel. Personal protective equipment and adherence to site-specific safety protocols are required. The organization is a smaller, rapidly growing company with a diverse portfolio in nuclear, ICI, and electrical projects, offering exposure to a wide range of work, close collaboration with an intimate team, and direct access to senior leadership for mentorship and development. Occasional travel to other sites, such as nuclear power stations and research laboratories, may be required over the course of the role.
