About Terawatt Infrastructure
The once in a century transition to autonomous and electric vehicles is underway and will require a multi-trillion-dollar investment in energy and charging infrastructure, and the real estate to site it on. Terawatt is the leader in delivering large scale, turnkey charging solutions for companies rapidly deploying AV and EV fleets. Whether it’s an urban mobility hub, or a carefully located multi-fleet hub for semi-trucks, Terawatt brings the talent, capabilities, and capital to create reliable, cost-effective solutions for customers on the leading edge of the transition to the next generation of transport.
With a growing portfolio of sites across the US in urban hubs and along key logistics and transportation corridors. Terawatt is building the permanent transportation and logistics infrastructure of tomorrow through a robust combination of capital, real estate, development, and site operations solutions. The company develops, finances, owns, and operates charging solutions that take the cost and complexity out of electrifying fleets.
Our Values
Six core values guide how we work: commitments we make to each other. Our pace is set by a simple conviction: imperfect action beats perfect inaction, so we move with purpose, adapt without ego, and measure ourselves by progress rather than activity. Ownership travels with autonomy. Your name is on the work, and the best answer wins the conversation, wherever it lives. That candor works because of what surrounds it: people who show up with intention and have each other's back, tough on ideas and generous with people. Our customers feel this as reliability earned daily, every interaction treated as a chance to build something lasting. And underneath it all is why the work matters. The climate doesn't wait, and the stakes are also human: behind every checklist and every inspection is a person going home safely. We call it "This work has a heartbeat” — it's what the other five rest on.

Role Description

The Director, Supply Chain is Terawatt's first dedicated supply chain leader and the senior owner of vendor relationships for all Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) that goes into our sites — EVSE (chargers and dispensers), switchboards, transformers, switchgear, modular buildings, and on-site IT infrastructure equipment. As Terawatt's development and construction pipeline scales, this role ensures the equipment behind it arrives on time, at the right cost, and to the right quality standard.

This is a foundational, build-from-scratch mandate with senior scope. You will shape how the Supply Chain function operates at Terawatt. You will define sourcing strategy, the supplier base, procurement processes, and inventory discipline — while remaining hands-on with the vendor relationships and long-lead procurement decisions that matter most. As Terawatt’s portfolio grows, you will build and lead a Supply Chain team that scales.

The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain and procurement leader who is equally comfortable negotiating a supplier contract, running a make/buy analysis on a constrained component, and briefing leadership on schedule risk. You are strategic, technically fluent in electrical and industrial equipment, and relationship-driven — someone who can earn the trust of critical vendors while building the function that will scale that trust across Terawatt's entire portfolio. You have worked previously in energy, electrical infrastructure, construction, or industrial hardware environments where real-world results needed to be delivered against physical assets and hardware. You’re a collaborative, cross-functional partner with a bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and the motivation to build something foundational at Terawatt.

This role will report into the CFO and you will be the connective tissue between Technology, Operations, and Finance, translating the site pipeline into procurement plans and translating supply chain risk into decisions leadership can act on.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy & Functional Ownership

- Develop and drive the strategy and roadmap for Supply Chain as a function in partnership with key stakeholders; accountable for cost, schedule, and quality outcomes across all OFE categories.

- Define the operating model, standards, and success metrics for the function, and evolve them as the business scales.

- Serve as a senior partner to Technology, Operations and Finance leadership, representing supply chain risk and tradeoffs at the leadership level.

- Partner with the CFO on Supply Chain budget planning, working capital, and staffing needs as the function grows.

OFE Vendor & Sourcing Ownership

- Own end-to-end vendor management for all OFE categories — switchboards, transformers, switchgear, modular buildings, and on-site IT infrastructure equipment — including vendor selection, contracting, and ongoing relationship management.

- Establish sourcing strategies for long-lead and constrained items (e.g., transformers, switchgear), including dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation for known industry-wide lead-time and allocation constraints.

- Lead supplier negotiations and contracting — pricing, warranty terms, service-level commitments, and volume-based agreements — balancing cost, schedule, and quality.

Operational Partnership & Material Planning

- Align procurement and material delivery schedules to the development and commissioning pipeline, ensuring equipment arrives on-site in sequence with construction and commissioning milestones.

- Develop and manage an inventory and spares strategy across the site portfolio (e.g., charger and parts backstock), balancing working capital against uptime and replacement-time requirements.

- Partner with Technology and Operations to ensure OFE meets applicable electrical, safety, and interoperability standards (e.g., UL, NEC, OCPP) and coordinate warranty and defect resolution with vendors.

- Establish and track supplier KPIs (on-time delivery, quality/defect rates, cost performance, lead-time trends) and drive corrective action plans with underperforming vendors.

Building & Leading the Team

- Build the Supply Chain function from the ground up — starting with management of OFE vendor relationships and procurement, building new partnerships and growing into a team as the portfolio grows.

- Build a culture of accountability, follow-through, and responsiveness across the function.

Cross-Functional & Risk Communication

- Represent Supply Chain in cross-departmental planning with Development, Technology, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Finance, building alignment on schedule and cost tradeoffs.

- Manage supply chain risk through a formal risk register, alternate sourcing plans, and proactive issue escalation — bringing recommendations, not just problems, to leadership.

- Implement and improve procurement systems and processes (e.g., PO workflows, ERP/procurement tool selection, supplier onboarding) as the team and portfolio scale.

Minimum Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in supply chain and procurement, including senior leadership of complex, technical vendor relationships at the Director level or equivalent.

- Experience owning or standing up a supply chain function or program — setting strategy, defining the operating model, and being accountable for outcomes.

- Demonstrated ability to manage long-lead-time, constrained, or sole-source procurement categories.

- Track record of hiring, building, and leading high-performing supply chain or procurement teams and comfort operating as a hands-on individual leader while the function is being built.

- Experience sourcing and managing electrical or industrial equipment vendors (e.g., switchgear, transformers, generators, modular/prefab structures, or similar capital equipment), with the technical fluency to speak credibly about their lead times, capacity constraints, and quality standards.

- Clear, credible communication with senior leadership, including the ability to shape functional strategy and present risk and tradeoffs concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in EV charging, energy, utility-scale electrical infrastructure or large scale infrastructure.

We are building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
