About this role
Responsibilities:
- Follow daily cleaning schedules for resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Dust, sweep, mop, sanitize surfaces, and clean windows according to community procedures.
- Coordinate cleaning in resident living and recreation areas with the Wellness team.
- Prepare apartments for new residents, including moving furniture as needed.
- Wash, fold, and distribute resident laundry, linens, and towels.
- Safely handle cleaning products and equipment and dispose of trash and waste according to community procedures.
- Knock before entering resident apartments and respect residents’ belongings and room arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
- Able to move a housekeeping cart and move furniture as needed for apartment turnover.
- Willing to learn and follow chemical handling, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures and attend required training.
- Patient and compassionate when working with older adults.
- Available to work rotating weekends.
