Buerkle Honda is building a new dedicated second-shift team focused on used vehicle reconditioning, new vehicle pre-delivery inspections (PDI), and accessory installation. We are seeking experienced Light Duty / B-Level technicians who work independently, take pride in quality repairs, and want to help shape a growing operation.

This role focuses on preparing dealership inventory for sale—not retail service appointments or waiting customers. Work directly with management and the sales and internal-service teams to improve vehicle turnaround, productivity, and shop throughput.

- A Honda-trained Journeyman Technician working on the overnight team for technical support and collaboration.

Compensation — second shift

GUARANTEED HOURLY

FLAT-RATE PRODUCTION

$23.56–$23.88 per hour worked
Includes 10% second-shift differential per CBA

$23.76–$25.55 per flat-rate hour produced
Includes 5% second-shift differential per CBA

How pay works: Technicians are paid the greater of their guaranteed hourly earnings or flat-rate production earnings for the applicable pay period. Flat-rate earnings replace—not supplement—the guaranteed amount when higher. Actual earnings depend on production, qualifications, union classification, and the applicable CBA.

What you will work on

- Used vehicles: inspections and reconditioning of trade-ins, auction purchases, and other inventory; brakes, steering, suspension, tires, batteries, fluids, maintenance, and general mechanical repairs.

- Certified Pre-Owned: Honda CPO inspections and applicable repairs when assigned.

- New vehicles: manufacturer pre-delivery inspections, accessory installation, dealer-installed equipment, vehicle protection products, and get-ready services.

- Quality and documentation: verify repairs and installation, follow manufacturer procedures, document findings and completed work, and communicate unexpected needs to the internal team.

Qualifications

- Prior hands-on automotive repair experience in a dealership, independent shop, or comparable repair environment.

- Able to complete maintenance and light-to-moderate mechanical repairs independently; strong inspection skills and attention to quality.

- Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable working the Monday–Friday 6:00 PM–2:30 AM shift.

- Valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.

- Preferred: B-Level / Light Duty or used-car reconditioning experience, Honda/Acura experience, ASE training, PDI, or accessory installation. Honda certification is not required; technicians from other manufacturers are welcome.
