As a Cash Management Analyst Intern based in Providence, RI, you will assist with payment-provider settlements, transaction activity, fees, chargebacks, cash reporting, and the investigation of exceptions. You will also use Excel and other reporting tools to organize information and support analysis, providing an introduction to how financial and operational data informs cash-management decisions in a fast-moving, regulated environment.

What You’ll Do

- Support routine cash-management activities by compiling transaction, settlement, and funds-movement information

- Collect reports and supporting documentation from payment-provider portals and internal systems, and organize information using Excel tools such as formulas, lookups, filters, PivotTables, and basic data queries

- Assist with comparing payment-provider settlements to internal records; identify unmatched or unusual items and raise them to the cash-management team

- Compile information on processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments, and flag potential discrepancies for review

- Help update recurring cash reports and track settlement timing, outstanding balances, and exceptions using Excel and introductory reporting or query tools under the guidance of team members

- Assist with month-end support, ad hoc requests, and basic process documentation as time permits

- Collaborate with Payments, Finance, and Operations colleagues while handling sensitive financial information in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field

- Working knowledge of Excel, including formulas, lookups, filters, PivotTables, or similar coursework or project experience

- Interest in cash management, treasury, payments, financial operations, accounting, or financial technology; basic familiarity with reconciliations or transaction flows is a plus

- Comfort working with financial and operational information; introductory exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, or similar tools is helpful but not required

- Interest in responsibly using AI tools and supporting the team by sharing useful, appropriate applications and learnings

- Detail-oriented and comfortable compiling information, identifying potential discrepancies, and raising questions or findings to teammates

- Strong communication, collaboration, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a regulated environment

- Available to work approximately 20 hours per week and able to complete and maintain any required background checks, licensing, registrations, or suitability clearances conducted by states, regulatory bodies, or gaming authorities

Keys to Success

- Collaborative teamwork: comfortable sharing ideas, seeking feedback, and learning from experienced colleagues

- Initiative with good judgment: willing to take the next step while raising questions and exceptions appropriately

- Technology and innovation mindset: interested in using data, automation, and AI tools responsibly to improve everyday work

- Attention to detail and integrity: committed to accurate work and responsible handling of financial information
