About this role
A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Manager of Field People Relations provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of Blattner’s field-facing People Relations Partner team, ensuring that employee relations casework across a geographically dispersed, project-based construction environment is delivered with consistency, quality, and legal defensibility. This role manages the team’s caseload, quality standards, and professional development while leading complex, sensitive, and high-risk workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and separations. The Manager I serves as the first-line escalation point for the People Relations Partner and Senior People Relations Partner team on ambiguous or legally complex field matters, partners closely with the Manager II – People Relations & HR Compliance on cross-team standards and resourcing, and coordinates with Legal, HR Compliance, and business leadership as needed. This role builds and sustains trusted relationships with field and business unit leaders, ensuring People Relations support is accessible, responsive, and embedded in the operational rhythm of the business, while identifying systemic ER risk patterns and recommending proactive interventions to reduce future escalations.
