Position Overview
Our client is hiring two experienced Class A CDL drivers for a local, dedicated route serving our client’s specialty grocery store. Drivers will operate a tractor-trailer from Islandia, NY to Brooklyn, deliver to the store, and return the empty trailer to Islandia.
Available Shifts
- 1:00 AM–9:30 AM
- 2:00 AM–10:30 AM
Pay
- $35.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on the dedicated Islandia-to-Brooklyn route.
- Deliver freight to our client’s specialty grocery store and return the empty trailer to Islandia.
- Operate equipment including 53-foot dry van, high cube, and flatbed trailers.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment concerns.
- Maintain accurate trip records and delivery documentation.
- Follow applicable DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Communicate with dispatch and store personnel to coordinate deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 3 years of Class A driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to report to the Islandia location for either available early morning shift.
