Position Summary
Stay Porter is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Vacation Rental Cleaner/Inspector to join its growing team in Flagstaff, AZ. This full-time, on-site role involves traveling between vacation rental properties throughout the area to inspect, clean and stage each home so it is ready for guests. The ideal candidate is careful, consistent and methodical, follows checklists and procedures with precision, and takes pride in getting every detail right. As a small business, Stay Porter values a positive team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed and who works well both independently and alongside a partner.
What You'll Do
- Prepare the property for guests and complete any work orders on the property.
- Respond to guests' maintenance requests in a professional manner.
- Coordinate the cleaning following guest departure.
- Complete a property inspection for each property.
- Inform maintenance concerning required repairs.
- Light home maintenance.
- Additional tasks as required.
- Clean and stage vacation rentals between guest stays.
- Follow our checklists and submit photos through our easy-to-use system.
- Work independently or with a partner, depending on the size of the property.
- Communicate through our scheduling system and app.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional cleaning experience in short-term rentals, hotels, or a similar environment.
- Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of vehicle insurance.
- Ability to travel between properties and provide your own cleaning supplies and tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using mobile technology.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities, and stay productive without constant supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience, ideally in vacation rentals, hospitality, or property management.
- General handyman skills and experience performing minor repairs.
- Experience maintaining pools and hot tubs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Able and willing to climb ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the waist.
- Able to lift or move up to 45 pounds.
- Able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist.
- Safe and confident driving skills.
Compensation, Benefits & More
Compensation: $21–$23 per hour
