We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Compensation Consultant to provide specialist advisory services on complex compensation matters. Serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), you will translate market and internal data into actionable recommendations across an assigned sector portfolio.

In this role, you will tackle high-impact compensation challenges, including escalated employment offers, pay compression, organizational restructures, and major compensation analysis projects. While routine offer management remains with HRBPs, you will step in to lead exception pricing, job mapping, and merger and acquisition (M&A) compensation integration, ensuring all practices align with our overarching Center of Excellence (COE) policies.

Key Responsibilities

Escalated Offer Pricing & Advisory

- Analyze and recommend complex, non-standard, or exception employment offers, including counter-offers, out-of-range placements, international transfers, and acquisition scenarios.
- Review escalated offers from HRBPs involving compression risks, sign-on bonuses, or policy exceptions, ensuring proper documentation of offer rationales and audit trails.
- Coordinate executive or equity-linked offer components seamlessly with the Equity Manager and Senior Director.
- Provide data-driven guidance to HRBPs and Talent Acquisition teams by interpreting Comp AI Tool analytics and applying corporate pay philosophy.

Restructure & Organizational Change

- Lead the compensation analysis workstream for organizational restructuring, reductions in force, realignments, and site consolidations.
- Build comprehensive restructure cost models, including current vs. proposed pay levels, severance impact, retention risks, and market impact.
- Present business cases and recommendations to leadership using rigorous data, scenario modeling, and risk assessments.
- Partner closely with HRBPs and Legal on transition communications, severance packages, and compliance.

Sector-Wide Analysis & Projects

- Execute large-scale compensation projects such as comprehensive market reviews, compression analysis, hot-skill pricing, and geographic differentials.
- Develop ad-hoc financial and data analyses including cost-of-labor comparisons, new site modeling, budget impact, and headcount cost forecasting.
- Support compensation readiness for new facilities by coordinating job structures, salary ranges, and offer guidelines with Program teams.
- Participate actively in the annual compensation cycle, managing sector-specific calibration, exception processing, and manager support.

M&A Compensation Integration

- Support compensation due diligence for acquisitions within your assigned sector, analyzing pay structures, offer practices, and competitive positioning.
- Lead post-close harmonization efforts, including job mapping, pay alignment, and transition communications.

Stakeholder Partnership & Portfolio Management

- Serve as the primary compensation resource for business leaders, site General Managers, and HRBPs across assigned portfolios.
- Build strong, trusted relationships through proactive engagement and data-driven guidance.
- Coach HRBPs on compensation best practices and optimal usage of the Comp AI Tool.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of dedicated compensation experience, with a strong focus on market pricing, offer analysis, and internal consulting.
- Proven experience pricing complex offers involving executive compensation, equity-linked components, international transfers, or acquisition scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience in restructuring compensation analysis, including cost modeling, severance planning, and harmonization.
- High proficiency with compensation benchmarking tools, market survey data, and advanced Excel/analytics (scenario modeling and data visualization).
- Excellent advisory and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently influence business leaders.
